Board of Directors
Highly entrepreneurial, Chiko is focused on advancing Metro Supply Chain’s position as a leading end-to-end supply chain solutions company through organic growth and strategic acquisitions that offer greater opportunities for customers. He is also Chairman of LDC Logistics Development Corporation, a real estate, development and investment company. Chiko was named a Supply Chain Canada Fellow in 2021.
Julien Dirand is Vice-President of Mid-Sized Enterprises and Venture Capital at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. In this role, he leads the entire process of transaction management and portfolio monitoring related to private equity investments in Quebec’s mid-sized enterprises and venture capital. Over his career, he has gained extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, expansion strategy and corporate governance. In recent years, he has served on several boards of directors. Mr. Dirand holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in finance from the Université de Sherbrooke. He is also a CFA charter holder.
Douglas Harrison is a seasoned CEO and Board Member with over 25 years of third-party logistics experience. Doug has been honoured with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation’s highest distinction, the Award of Excellence, and is recognized as a Fellow by the Canadian Supply Chain Management Association, the organization’s most prestigious award. Over his CEO career, he has led corporate transformations, taking several organizations that were challenged and strategically repositioning them for long-term success. He is experienced in Canada, the USA, Europe and Asia.
Bernard Labelle is an accomplished executive leader, experienced consultant, corporate director and speaker. He built his career in consulting, spending nearly 30 years at CGI, where he notably served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Currently, Bernard is Executive-in-Residence at FSA ULaval and regularly contributes to the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés. He has earned recognition as a CGI Builder, distinguished graduate of Université Laval, Grand Québécois by the Québec City Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a recipient of the Impact Award from the Québec MBA Association (AMBAQ). Bernard sits on the boards of Metro Supply Chain and Université Laval, where he also chairs the Human Resources Committee, as well as the Fondation Forces Avenir and Le Diamant
Widely regarded as one of the best business lawyers of his generation, François is currently Senior Counsel at Stikeman Elliott LLP, where he has built an outstanding career spanning more than 45 years. Recognized as a leading practitioner in banking and finance, corporate law and real estate, François has acted as one of the principal external counsels of Metro Supply Chain since 1989. In this role, he has worked closely alongside the company’s Founder, providing strategic guidance and witnessing firsthand the organization’s exceptional growth over nearly four decades. François holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) from Université Laval. He has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1978.
Jordan L. Slatt is President of LDC Logistics Development Corporation, the majority shareholder of Metro Supply Chain. LDC Logistics is a diversified holding company founded in 1974. It has investments in both logistics companies and businesses related to the industry. In addition, LDC Logistics owns, manages and develops residential, commercial, hospitality and industrial real estate. A Chartered Professional Accountant, Jordan has extensive expertise in property management, acquisitions, leasing, construction, and financial structuring, along with over 30 years of experience supporting growth leadership at Metro Supply Chain. He also serves on the boards of several charitable organizations.

Chris brings 25 years of leadership experience in supply chain and third-party logistics, spanning multiple industries. Before joining Metro Supply Chain, he was Managing Director and Executive Team Member at Wincanton Plc in the UK. Chris holds a degree in International Transport from Cardiff University and an MBA from the University of Warwick.
Mathieu is a proven finance business leader with long-standing experience delivering value within fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environments. Before joining Metro Supply Chain, Mathieu was Vice President of Finance for Alimentation Couche-Tard, a leader in the convenience store industry. He began his finance career at Deloitte as an Audit Director.
Board Advisors
Martin has more than 40 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management and wholesaling. Before joining Metro Supply Chain in 2005, he held several senior leadership roles in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including Managing Director, UK for Tibbett & Britten Group and Managing Director Integration following the company’s acquisition by DHL Supply Chain. Martin is also Chairman of Supply Chain Alliance, a North American supply chain consultancy.
Heiner is a seasoned global logistics executive with over two decades of experience leading complex supply chain organizations. Formerly CEO of Schenker, Inc. and global Head of Air & Ocean Freight at DB Schenker, he brings deep expertise in strategic growth, operations, and digital transformation. Heiner is the founder and Chairman of Orkestra, a global supply chain software platform. At Metro Supply Chain, Heiner works closely with the management team on key strategic initiatives and international expansion. He also serves as Executive Chairman of Evolution Time Critical, Metro Supply Chain’s global freight forwarding and expedited logistics business, guiding its global growth and innovation agenda

Murray leads the contract logistics business, specializing in dedicated and customized supply chain solutions. With over 35 years of direct operational experience, including 16 years at Metro Supply Chain, he has focused on in-house retail logistics and third-party logistics. Previously, Murray served as Head of Exel UK operations for Tesco and Managing Director of Consumer Logistics for Tibbett & Britten UK. He also led the project management office for Tibbett & Britten Europe.
Chris leads the Supply Chain Services business, specializing in multi-user omnichannel fulfillment and reverse logistics solutions. He also oversees enhanced technical services, including product installation, field technical services, and depot repair. With 30 years of experience in third-party logistics, Chris spent 17 years at SCI, holding progressively senior positions, culminating as President & CEO for the last eight years. In 2024, he facilitated the sale of SCI to Metro Supply Chain. Chris has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from McMaster University.
Dan brings a wealth of experience to Metro Supply Chain. Before joining, he served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at DHL Supply Chain in the UK and Ireland, amassing over 23 years of leadership experience in the supply chain, third-party logistics and specialist services sectors. Throughout his distinguished career, Danhas partnered with global businesses across various industries and geographies, leading major contract logistics customers in the Public Sector, Healthcare, Retail, Foodservice and Automotive verticals.
Joyce joined Metro Supply Chain in 2012 to lead the legal department, offering strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions, financing, contract negotiation, risk management and regulatory compliance. Solutions-oriented, Joyce nurtures a high-performing legal team that drives a culture of excellence. A member of the Québec Bar since 2004, Joyce holds a law degree from Université de Montréal and enjoys mentoring students interested in pursuing a law career.
Tony has 35 years of experience in human resources. He joined Metro Supply Chain’s leadership team in 2001, having worked for Oshawa Foods, a major retail food chain, and Tibbett and Britten Group as Director of Human Resources. A York University graduate, he also holds a Certified Human Resources Professional (C.H.R.P.) designation through the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario.
John has over 35 years of experience managing large-scale asset-based and third-party logistics transport solutions, including spearheading Metro Supply Chain's extensive last-mile network, the largest of its kind in Canada. He helped integrate several acquisitions to expand the company's reach and capabilities and coordinated the Group's transport service proposition, ensuring exceptional delivery standards.
Pierre joined Metro Supply Chain in 2019, having previously held senior development and commercial roles in North American retail and fashion sectors. He began his career in investment banking and served as a Vice President in the Global Investment Banking division of BMO Capital Markets. He is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce.
Edgar has 30 years of experience leading IT delivery and operations within a wide variety of industries. Before joining Metro Supply Chain, Edgar was VP Solution Development and Technology at PRESTO for Metrolinx. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA in International Business and Financial Management from the Schulich School of Business.
Jono has more than 25 years of domestic and international experience leading supply chain strategy development, value creation and large transformation programs for retail, consumer goods and pharmaceutical companies. Before joining Metro Supply Chain, he was a management consultant at Accenture, Barloworld, and Nissan. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Africa and an Advanced Certificate in Logistics from the University of Pretoria.
